From Van to Empire: The Camerino Gonzalez Valle Story

Welcome to my blog, where I share my passion for screenwriting and the stories I've crafted. Although I am self-taught in the art of screenwriting, I have honed my skills through extensive reading of scripts and consistent practice.

Screenwriting is a beloved hobby of mine and while I am aware that breaking into Hollywood may be unlikely, the joy and fulfillment I gain from creating my own stories and visualizing them on the big screen are incomparable.

On this blog, you will find a diverse array of original screenplays and reinterpretations and continuations of beloved films. Please note that as a work in progress, my writing may contain errors and not always adhere to proper grammar. I thank you for joining me on this journey and I hope you will find my screenplays to be entertaining to read.

Additionally, these scripts are part of an ongoing video mini-series project in the development phase.

Synopsis

Taco Empire" tells the story of Camerino Gonzalez Valle, the founder of Chicago's iconic Taqueria Los Comales Mexican Restaurants. The film charts his journey from selling tacos out of the back of a van in the early 1970s to build a successful Mexican culinary empire, with 25 Taqueria Los Comales restaurants at its height. The film also delves into Gonzalez's personal story, including his immigration to the U.S. as a teenager, his struggles as a laborer and entrepreneur, and his efforts to support other immigrants. Through it all, we see how Gonzalez's passion for food and his dedication to his family and community helped him to overcome obstacles and achieve his goals. The film is a heartwarming and inspiring story of the American Dream and the power of perseverance, hard work, and generosity.
